Small Grants for Rural Communities Program Opens

The 30th round of FRRR’s Small Grants for Rural Communities program is offering more than $300,000 with the support of co-funding from The Bertalli Family Foundation, Berrembed Trust, The Pratt Foundation, The RE Ross Trust, The Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation managed by Equity Trustees, The Yulgilbar Foundation, The William Buckland Foundation managed by Equity Trustees, Friends of FRRR and other private donors.

Acute Rheumatic Fever & Rheumatic Heart Disease Education Workshop (16 CME/CPD hours)

The rheumatic heart disease workshop is designed for key health staff involved in the diagnosis and management of people with acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) in the Northern Territory. This workshop will engage participants with a combination of objective driven information sessions, and consolidate that knowledge with a series of targeted clinical and practical case studies.

The Remote Primary Health Care project is currently in the process of reviewing content for the new editions of the Remote Primary Health Care Manuals and are looking for volunteer health practitioners to read over the updated draft content – usually about 5-7 protocols assigned to a reviewer. As the manuals are made by the users for the users, reviewing is a great way to provide feedback.
