The Alliance was pleased with the number, scope and quality of applications received in the recent Round 6 of the RHCE2 program (3rd February – 3rd March 2015). The response confirmed the high level of demand and need for the continuation of the RHCE2 program for eligible health professionals. In total, there were 213 registrations, with 113 eligible applications received. An independent Assessment Panel, comprised of representatives of eligible health professional groups and a Chairperson, assessed and rated the eligible applications. The funds available made it possible to fund only the top-ranked 20 projects.
The Alliance is undertaking negotiations and the drafting of funding agreements with the successful 20 applications to proceed as quickly as possible to allow projects to have about 6 months for project activities. All projects must be completed by 30th October 2015. Information on successful projects will be made available on the RHCE2 website in the near future.
