The National Rural Health Alliance has taken home two awards at the ACT Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards night in Canberra.
The Alliance won the In-House Meeting Member Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award and the Education Award (jointly with the Trucking Association of Australia).
The Alliance is very conscious of its Corporate Social Responsibility, both in relation to the planning of the 12th National Rural Health Conference held in Adelaide in 2013 and in the secretariat work carried out in its office in Canberra. It is honoured to be recognised for its commitment to reducing the environmental and social impacts of decisions made in relation to managing such a large event as the National Rural Health Conference.
The Education Award is recognition of the opportunities for all Alliance staff to attend training courses, conferences and other professional development opportunities. The Alliance values its staff and is committed to providing every professional development opportunity to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
These awards come at a time when Alliance staff are getting busier with planning for the 13th National Rural Health Conference to be held in Darwin, 24-27 May 2015. Information about the 13th Conference is on the website.
The Alliance would like to congratulate the Australian Trucking Association for taking out the ACT 2013 Association/Government Meeting of the Year.
