It’s now easier to become a part of the growing network of Friends of the Alliance - with a new secure online membership portal open today.
Friends of the Alliance are people and organisations from all walks of life and all parts of Australia who support the Alliance and are united by a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of the more than 6.7 million people of rural and remote Australia.
Friends provide important grassroots connections to help strengthen the Alliance's advocacy to Government and other national policy makers – to identify what’s working well for health in rural and remote communities – and what’s not.
Kellie Sydlarczuk, Manager of Friends, says: “Every voice makes a difference. We have had some incredible stories from all corners of Australia that our policy team has used in recent submissions to Government.”
Individual members of Friends receive some special benefits to keep them connected with like-minded people including Partyline magazine, discounted registration to the biennial National Rural Health Conference, access to the Alliance's monthly electronic newsletter eNews and discounted subscription to the Australian Journal of Rural Health.
Organisational member of Friends have those benefits plus they are acknowledged on the Alliance website, including through a direct link to their own website in recognition of their commitment to equal health in rural and remote Australia.
