Welcome to this special Federal Election page
Throughout the coming weeks you will find here a range of materials relating to health and wellbeing in remote areas that are generated in or for the Federal Election campaign.
The NRHA has produced an Election Charter <2.9MB PDF> in which it outlines the top 10 issues on which it seeks commitments from the political parties, their candidates, Members and Senators.
The promises on these 10 issues received and not received from the political parties will form the basis of a weekly Election Scorecard issued by the Alliance. The scorecard will be summarised in regular election media releases from the Alliance. The Alliance’s Twitter will also comment from time to time on developments in the campaign.
We will also keep you updated through this special page on the key announcements from the parties relating to rural and remote health, as well as reactions to those announcements from other organisations and interest groups.
As ever, we would love to hear your views on developments as they unfold. Send your comments to nrha@ruralhealth.org.au – and help us use this opportunity to secure better health and wellbeing for the people of rural and remote Australia. |
