Aged Care Reform Bills 2013 - Submission to Senate Community Affairs Committee Inquiry

01 May 2013
NRHA submission to the Senate Community Affairs Committee Inquiry into the Aged Care Reform Bills 2013 to give effect to the Living Longer Living Better aged care reforms. The impact of the legislation on higher costs of establishing and delivering services and staff availability in rural and remote communities are considered for both home and residential care. Older people’s use of residential care decreases with remoteness as their use of community packages increases, although overall use of aged care packages is less than in urban areas.
