Conference Recommendations

The Communiqué and Ten Key Recommendations (99 KB pdf) are being promoted by the NRHA and other bodies and will help inform the NRHA's agenda.

The Full Set of Recommendations (171 KB pdf) is a collation of all of those generated by various means before and during the 8th Conference. They have been edited for greater consistency of format and style. This full set was not debated or ranked by delegates at the Conference so there can be no implication that all delegates or any particular organisations endorse them. It is a useful 'snapshot' of people's thinking on remote and rural health and things that could be done to help the situation.

All organisations and individuals are encouraged to use these recommendations in support of ideas to improve the health of people in remote and rural Australia. For its part, the NRHA will engage in 'due process' with its 24 Member Bodies to prioritise the proposals in this full list in order to inform its work.

Anything you can do individiually or organisationally to promote the ideas that resonate with you will not only help improve the health and well-being of people in remote and rural Australia - it will also be a way in which you can maintain your Central Commitment to people in remote and rural areas!
